Cancer doesn’t wait for the pandemic to be over. Isolated and lonely, families are still going through childhood cancer treatment, but now with more limited resources than ever before.
The Alisha Jilani Foundation, in collaboration with SMILE Canada, is spearheading an initiative to support children and their families through parent and sibling support groups, social support, as well as wellness gifts and supplies to children and their families during their extended hospital stay.
SMILE Canada is a registered charity and has been supporting children with disabilities and their families in the Muslim community for years. They have already been working with families at SickKids Hospital in Toronto and are planning to expand services to the Children’s Hospital in London.
Please consider donating to SMILE to help administer these programs. Every donation made will be matched by the Alisha Jilani Foundation, thereby doubling your reward! SMILE is a registered charity and will be able to issue tax receipts for any donations made over $20.
