Our Mission

SMILE Canada- Support Services is a charity dedicated to supporting racialized children and youth with disabilities and their families. SMILE’s focus area is diverse Muslim communities including refugee and new immigrant families. 

Our Vision

Our vision is to ensure that all children, & youth are smiling. Our plan of action is to do this by supporting families through various programs and services in a culturally responsive manner.

In her role as an executive director, Sukaina provides strategic direction and vision to SMILE Canada - Support Services. Sukaina oversees all of SMILE’s programs and delivery. This includes a close evaluation of all the programs and projects ensuring they are transparent and in-line with the stated mission and goals of the organization.

In her role as a Program Coordinator, Javeria is responsible for the development and delivery of SMILE programs and events. She is in charge of community outreach and engagement of our registered SMILE families. She also coordinates awareness training and workshops within the community.

In her role as Respite, Mentorship and Volunteer Coordinator, Hina is currently leading the Virtual Respite and Mentorship Program for SMILE. She has been involved with executing the program and coordinating volunteers for SMILE during COVID-19.

In her role as Service Navigator, Raian corresponds with families, children and youth in Arabic and English. She updates assessment team members on relevant new information regarding clients and ensures the completion of follow-up meetings with families. She also connects families with community resources that support the inclusion of children with disabilities.

Service Navigator

In her role as a Service Navigator, Nida will be responsible for connecting families with our community resources. As a Service Navigator, she will assist families in accessing funding and services. Her role will involve supporting SMILE families, connecting with team leads, as well as collaborating with the Healthcare Advisory Committee.

In her role as Education and Outreach Coordinator, Marya provides SMILE's Staff and Board Members with strategic guidance about community outreach and engagement. She works closely with SMILE's Executive Director to liaise and engage with stakeholders in the community.

Marya Bangash, Education and Outreach Coordinator

In her role, Iman will be working as a Marketing Coordinator. She will be responsible for overseeing SMILE Canada’s marketing and communication, branding, maintaining SMILE Canada’s social media, and connecting with the community. She will also work closely with the Program Coordinator and  Fundraising Manager for fundraising and programming initiatives.

In her role as a Program Coordinator, Sophia will plan and develop SMILE’s programs and events within the community. She will expand programs as well as develop and conduct outreach. She will work closely with SMILE staff and SMILE’s Executive Director, Sukaina Dada.
