About The Event
Rafia Haniff-Cleofas has been active in Canada's disability rights movement over the last 25 years. She is a founding member of ERDCO - The Ethno Racial People with Disabilities Coalition of Ontario, and CAM-D, the Canadian Association of Muslims with Disabilities. She is also a founding member of the Canadian Alliance on Race and Disability CARD. She strives to make the Muslim community inclusive of those with disabilities. Currently, Rafia is a Program Manager with DEEN Support Services- Scarborough. Her disability is polio, and she uses a powered wheelchair. She is married with two children. She has a BA in Islamic Studies from Islamic Online University (IOU).
