About the event
As a Social Worker/Psychotherapist and child of South Asian immigrant parents, Gul-e Rana takes an integrative and holistic approach to mental health support. She strives to provide mental health care that is client-centered, collaborative and change-oriented. She draws on various modalities in her work including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy.
Over the past 6 years, Gul-e Rana has had the privilege of working with very diverse populations, especially the newcomer/immigrant and BIPOC communities. She has worked with numerous organizations on various mental health projects and is currently working as the Mental Health and Wellness Lead at North York Community House. As a 1.5 generation immigrant, person of colour and woman who has overcome battles of her own, she recognizes the role that intersectionality plays in our mental well-being.
