SMILE Moms Group - ONLINE!

While we can't meet in person - SMILE believes it is important for our Mom's to continue to connect! We bring you mom's online support group! Sign up and you will receive instructions on how to join us online from the privacy of your own home!

The group will be moderated this month by Zainab Virjee, Child and Youth Care Practitioner and 

Akila Dada, Child Life Specialist

Akila Dada is an Ontario Certified Teacher and Child Life Specialist.  She currently works at McMaster Children's Hospital and is pursuing a Masters in Pediatric Psychosocial Care. Akila has been with SMILE for over 10 years and is currently a team lead for children's events.   She is a mother of two very energetic young boys.

Zainab Virjee is a Child and Youth Care Practitioner who currently works at Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board as a Child and Youth Worker. She holds a MA degree in Child and Youth Care from Ryerson University, a BA degree from York University as well as a Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma from Humber College. Zainab is professionally certified by the Child and Youth Certification Board. Zainab is an Assessment Team Lead at SMILE Canada-Support Services. Her experience lies within supporting children and youth with disabilities as well as mental health challenges.
