World Autism Awareness Day

Today SMILE had the opportunity to be a part of an event by the Muslim Mom's of Durham. Amber Fancy of the organization spear headed the event and we were blown away by the incredible amount of community support she received to celebrate Autism Awareness. Raffles, magic show, speakers, kids crafts and lots of food! Amber Fancy and Julian Stephenson brought the audience to tears sharing their personal experiences with Autism and Imam Imran Ali from Taric Masjid and MPP Lorne Coe were inspiring. Thank you to all our volunteers who came out and thank you to the Mom's of Durham for welcoming us into your city! We are very excited about having more events together in the future inshallah!
