A Forum on Disability, Displacement & Trauma-Informed
Join us for a dynamic, interdisciplinary forum dedicated to improving how we support refugee and newcomer children with disabilities. This full-day forum brings together professionals from healthcare, education, and social services to strengthen culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches in their work.
As communities continue to welcome families from diverse cultural and migration backgrounds, service providers are increasingly called upon to navigate the complex intersections of disability, displacement, and trauma. This event offers a unique opportunity to deepen understanding, share expertise, and build meaningful cross-sector connections.
Through a series of engaging keynote presentations, an expert panel discussion, and interactive workshops, participants will explore both the challenges and opportunities involved in supporting newcomer children and their families. Attendees will leave with practical tools, evidence-informed strategies, and renewed confidence to foster inclusive, accessible, and responsive environments.
What You’ll Gain
This forum emphasizes collaboration and shared learning, equipping participants with actionable strategies to build trust, enhance service delivery, and create more equitable systems of care.
