Our placements provide valuable insight into working with children with disabilities and their families from diverse backgrounds while helping students develop practical skills in their field of study. Mayumi Chavez

Hello! My name is Mayumi and I am currently studying Social Work and Disability Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. I'm passionate about advocating for the disability community and leading my practice with empathy and love.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with my two cats, and being with loved ones!

Lexie Halleran

Hello! My name is Lexie, and I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. I hold an undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Studies and Psychology, and both my academic background and aspects of my personal identity have shaped my passion for working with children and youth with diverse needs.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as staying active through activities such as hiking, weight training, and kickboxing.

Trinity Lusan

Hello! I’m Trinity, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Kinetics with a Minor in Psychology, which has strengthened my passion for promoting physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing volleyball, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time outdoors.
