Join SMILE Canada’s Learning Lounge for a session on understanding Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and how they support students with disabilities.
An IEP outlines the support a student needs at school. In this session, parents and caregivers will learn what an IEP includes, how they can help shape their child’s plan, and how to work with school staff to support their child’s learning. We’ll discuss how to ask questions, share concerns, and speak up for your child’s needs.
We’ll also explore some of the differences in IEPs across Canada’s provinces and territories.
Whether you’re new to IEPs or already have experience with the process, this session is a chance to learn, connect with other families, and share your experiences and challenges. There will be time for questions and discussion.
